November 18, 2008:
Finally got a chance to put together some kits. You'll find two holiday earring
kits made with swarovski crystals - snowman and holiday trees. Also a rustic
Kazuri necklace kit. The Kazuri kit doesn't require any special tools so this is a
great gift idea for the beginning beader. Also have in some new colors of 8mm
Czech Fire Polish beads. Friday starts the two-week trunk show introducing
some new beads and pendants.
November 11, 2008:
Happy Veterans' Day! Take a moment out of your busy day to thank all those
veterans out there. This morning I'm busy baking for Mimi's Lampwork Trunk
show this afternoon. To accompany some of her beads, I'll bring out some of
the beadable items such as pens, key rings, and winestoppers. Currently we
only have sample winestoppers but an order of them and appetizer forks are
on the way. New in the store is also holiday beads, Russian pendants, black
oxide findings, and pearl clusters.
November 4, 2008:
Looks like the class schedule is done and almost all of the new stuff is out.
There was no way to include all of the new items in last week's blog. After
hearing several of you ask about discount programs we've decided that for
November we'll take Michael's coupons. There's more information on the
events page.
October 30, 2008:
We've been back from Colorado two days now and I'm still trying to get
through all the boxes. Between what I'd ordered before I left and what I'd
bought out there and since returning, wow! Many of you will be glad to know
we now carry memory wire, memory wire caps, and watch faces. As for beads,
there are so many new things, I could be up all night typing! Green garnet
slabs, ruby rounds, teeny-tiny pearls in several colors, more Bali, glass pearls,
coin pearls, kyanite - green and blue, lapis donuts and more. Along with
getting all these items out, I hope to have a class schedule complete by the
end of the week. Expect to see technique classes (Beadstringing Basics and
Working with Wire) at least weekly along with several project type classes.
Several of you have asked for weekday classes so that will happen too.
October 21, 2008:
The turquoise donuts are in as are some turquoise crosses. We've also
gotten some magnifying lights for those of us who need a little help with the
eyes! There's some new gemstone toggles and soocho jade carved pendants
too. Last week on the 100th day we had a surprise impromptu trunk show with
a local lampworker. Her work is beautiful and I can't wait to share it with you!
We're working an a date for a trunk show in early November. We'll also be
adjusting the class schedule so make sure your wishes are heard!
October 14, 2008:
Tomorrow will be the 100th day open! It's been a great time meeting all you
beaders and trying to find things you'll like. Yesterday we got in some strands
of mixed Czech glass in dark amethyst and in peach/pear. Also some topaz
Czech glass moon faces. These and the glow-in-the-dark beads could be
great inspiration for Halloween. We're expecting some turquoise donuts and
real Venetian glass this week. And last week we added matte finish black
stone, great accents for those pieces that you don't want to use shiny beads.
October 7, 2008:
Finally the Big Beautiful Bali Beads came! And today the first newsletter will go
out. If you don't get it and want to be on the email list, just email me at:

October 3, 2008:
Now that the craft show is over, we can all focus on our own craft projects.
Over the last few weeks we've received some druzy agate pendants, pink
opal, additional colors of swarovski beads, and 8mm czech fire polish beads.
September 16, 2008:
More new products last week. Apatite, Sapphire rice beads, some beautiful
vintage Swarovski, garnet nuggets and faceted briolettes, and green garnets.
We expect some double-drilled African turquoise and agate slices this week
too.
September 10, 2008:
More new classes have been added. The ornament kits are in. Expect new
items over the next week.
August 26, 2008:
Several of you have asked about parties, both for kids and for girls/moms
night out. There will be information on the website soon. We’ve gotten some
new products over the last week: some Hawk’s Eye squares, Brown Snowflake
rounds, Onyx twists, and some gorgeous double drilled Sardonyx. We’ve also
added a new selection of Kazuri beads. There’s an initial selection of sterling
findings including some rhinestone balls. Since August is almost over, and
Peridot is the birthstone for the month, anything Peridot-green colored will be
10% off on Wednesday and Thursday.
August 16, 2008: Blog site open.
