Shaggy Loop Earrings
Love Chainmaille , but all those little rings seem just a
bit scary? You will leave class with Chain maille de-
mystified and a stunning pair of earrings. Class will
cover: selecting the right tools, the proper way to
open and close rings, wire gauge and rings size, and
how it affects your pattern and the tricks I wish
somebody had told me about! Great for “fraidy cats”!
No experience necessary. Those who have some
experience can add beads to the loops and a stone
to the bottom for a very dramatic pair of earrings.
Classes taught by Ann Goodwin Ann is a local jewelry artist. Chain Maille is a technique that goes back thousands of years. Learn to create some unique, ingenious and fun designs.

European Four in One Bracelet
All the rage at the Battle of Hastings! This was
the traditional weave in European armor of the
Middle Ages, examples have been found that
date to 1066 and before. This is the weave
usually used in the movies. Today it makes a
beautiful and slinky bracelet. While some
students may not be able to totally complete
this project in class, they will leave with the skills
to finish it. All levels welcome.
Celtic Vision Bracelet This complex LOOKING weave is not as tricky as it seems. Come make a fun and funky bracelet that coordinates with a Celtic Knot Pendant. Rondo á la Byzantine Earrings
This earring is a fun variation on the classic Byzantine
pattern. Once you learn how to make these, you will want to
make several pairs, trying different colors; even attaching
stones/crystals to the bottom… your imagination is the limit.
Also makes a great pendant. Students will leave with one pair
of completed earrings. No knowledge of the Byzantine
pattern is required.
Caged Bead Earrings and
Japanese Cross Component
Learn the basics of Japanese style Maille
construction. The Japanese cross component
makes beautiful earrings, a great pendant, and
when several are joined together, a dramatic
bracelet. The Caged Bead earrings can be
simple or very dramatic, depending on the
beads used or when dangles are added.
Students will complete a set of Caged Bead
earrings and two Japanese Cross components.
All levels welcomed.
What you need to bring to all classes:
Each student will need to purchase a class kit; available at Off the Beading Path. Students will also need two
pair of either…chain-nose, flat-nose, or bent nose pliers. These pliers should be short nosed! Needle nose type
pliers won’t work well and your wrists will hate you…trust me!
